Testicular cancer is a cancer that arises from testicles. Testicles are the male reproductive organs found inside the scrotum that produces sperm and male hormone testosterone. It is more common in young men between 15 and 35 years of age..
Symptoms
- It includes a lump or enlargement of either testicle, feeling of heaviness of scrotum, dull ache in the abdomen/groin
Diagnosis
- Diagnosis is made based on physical examination of scrotum, blood tests and a ultrasound scan/CT scan.
Treatment
- Treatment depends on the size, specific type and spread of cancer tissue. Surgery to remove testicles and adjacent nodes along with radiotherapy or chemotherapy is used to treat testicular cancer
