It is a neurological death in which there is a slow, progressive nerve damage Though the case is unknown, it may be related to an overactive immune system This condition is more common in women than men and in ages between 15 and 60 MS can affect any nerve.

Symptoms

  • Include a loss of vision
  • Weakness in arms & legs
  • Dizziness, imbalance
  • Some people may develop bowel or bladder problems
  • The symptoms can be relapsing or can worsen

Diagnosis

  • It is made by physical examination and a MRI scan
  • Individual nerve function tests,
  • Blood test and cerebrospinal fluid analysis

Treatment

  • It mostly consists of weakening the immune system. Interferon can help to reduce the severity of the symptoms
  • Physiotherapy can be helpful to maintain strength and balance
